20. Customs Duties, Taxes, and Shipping Responsibilities
20.1 Tax-Inclusive Regions (DDP — Delivered Duty Paid)
For customers located in the Middle East (including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain):
- All applicable local taxes, VAT, and customs clearance fees are included in the final price displayed at checkout. You will not be charged any additional tax or duty fees upon delivery.
- StageMing takes full responsibility for customs clearance in these regions.
- The checkout price is the total amount you pay — no hidden charges will be added at the door.
20.2 Tax-Excluded Regions (DDU — Delivered Duty Unpaid)
For customers located in all other countries and regions not listed in Section 20.1 — including but not limited to the United States, China, Canada, the European Union, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia:
- Important Notice: Orders shipped to these regions are delivered on a Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) basis.
- The product prices and shipping costs displayed on our website do not include local customs duties, import taxes, VAT, or regional brokerage fees.
- For US customers: Orders valued under the standard US$800 de minimis threshold are generally exempt from import duties. Orders exceeding this threshold may be subject to applicable import taxes collected by US Customs.
- For China customers: Orders are subject to applicable Chinese customs duties and import taxes, which are the responsibility of the recipient.
- As the importer of record, you are responsible for paying all applicable taxes and duties required by your local customs authorities. These fees are typically collected by the local carrier (e.g., DHL, FedEx, UPS, or local postal services) before the package is released to you.
- Refusal of Package: If you refuse to pay mandated local duties upon delivery, the package may be returned to us or abandoned by customs. In such cases, the cost of original outbound shipping, return shipping fees, and any associated customs handling charges will be deducted from your final product refund.
20.3 Customs Clearance Cooperation
Regardless of your region, you agree to provide accurate and valid contact information (including phone number, email, and tax ID if required by local regulations) to facilitate customs clearance. If a package cannot be delivered because the buyer fails to respond to customs or courier requests within 7 calendar days, any resulting return fees or penalties will be deducted from the customer's refund once the package safely arrives back at our warehouse.
20.4 Shipping & Delivery Estimates
Estimated delivery windows (e.g., "5-12 business days") are displayed at checkout.
- Delays: While we work closely with top-tier carriers, StageMing is not liable for transport delays entirely beyond our control, such as sudden customs inspection hold-ups, extreme weather events, global health crises, or severe seasonal carrier backlogs (e.g., Black Friday, Christmas, Ramadan).
- Lost Packages: A package will be formally declared lost, and a free reshipment or full refund will be issued, if there is an absolute lack of tracking updates for 30 consecutive days (for Middle East shipments) or 45 consecutive days (for all other regional destinations).
20.5 Incorrect Address Instructions
Please ensure your shipping address is entered correctly at checkout. If a package is returned to our facility due to an incomplete, inaccurate, or invalid address provided by the customer, you will be responsible for the actual reshipping fee. If you prefer a refund instead of reshipment, the original shipping fee will be non-refundable.
