1. Overview

At StageMing, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This Return & Refund Policy explains when and how you can return products, and under what conditions refunds are issued.

By making a purchase on our website, you agree to the terms outlined below.


2. Return Window

You have 14 calendar days from the date you receive the item (i.e., delivery confirmation) to request a return Requests made after 14 days will not be accepted, unless the product has a verified manufacturing defect covered under our Warranty Policy (see Section 7).


3. Eligibility Criteria for Return

To be eligible for a return, the product must meet the following conditions:

Condition Requirement
Resalable Condition The product must be unused, and only tested to the extent necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and functioning (similar to how you would inspect an item in a physical retail store).
Original Packaging All original boxes, foam inserts, plastic bags, manuals, and accessories must be intact and included.
No Signs of Wear No scratches, dents, scuffs, marks, or any other visible signs of handling, mounting, or installation.
All Components Present All included parts, cables, brackets, and promotional gifts must be returned together.
Proof of Purchase An order number, invoice, or receipt must be provided.

Note for Stage Lighting Products: Testing the light briefly to ensure it functions is perfectly acceptable. However, items used extensively for a full performance, rehearsal, or event are considered "used" and cannot be accepted for a standard return (except for verified manufacturing defects).


4. Refund Amount & Fees

Refund handling depends on your location and the reason for the return:

4.1 United States & Rest of World (Excluding EU/UK)

For returns due to customer preference (e.g., changed mind, ordered by mistake):

  • A 15% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund total. This covers inspection, testing, and payment processing fees.
  • You will receive a refund of 85% of the original product price.
  • Original outbound shipping fees and customs duties/taxes are non-refundable.

4.2 European Union & United Kingdom

In compliance with local consumer protection laws:

  • 0% Restocking Fee: Customers in the EU/UK receive a 100% refund of the product price if the item is returned unused and in its original packaging within the 14-day window.
  • Diminished Value: If the product has been used beyond what is necessary to establish its nature and functioning, a deduction may be applied to reflect the diminished value of the goods.

Refund Calculation Example (US/Global Customer Example):

  • Product price: $100
  • Restocking fee (15%): $15
  • Total refund to customer: $85
  • Note: Original shipping fees (e.g., $15) are not refunded.

5. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned under any circumstances (unless they arrive damaged or defective):

  • Custom Products: Products made to your unique specifications, custom colors, or custom branding.
  • Software/Digital Products: Downloadable manuals, firmware updates, or software licenses.
  • Clearance / Final Sale Items: Any product clearly marked as "Final Sale" or "Non-Returnable" on the product page at the time of purchase.
  • Items Damaged After Delivery: Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, accidents, or external elements after the package was successfully delivered.

6. How to Request a Return

To ensure a smooth return process, please follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Contact our customer support team at support@stageming.com within 14 days of delivery.
  • Step 2: Please include your order number, the reason for the return, and photos or a short video showing the current condition of the product and its packaging. (This helps us speed up the verification process).
  • Step 3: Our team will review your request within 2 business days and issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) along with the correct return shipping address.
  • Step 4: Pack the item securely and ship it back to us using the provided address. Do not send items back without an RMA, as packages sent without prior authorization cannot be tracked or processed.

7. Warranty — Manufacturing Defects (Non-Human Damage Only)

If your product experiences a functional defect that is not caused by misuse, external forces, or unauthorized modification, it is covered under our Limited Warranty.

Feature Policy Details
Warranty Period 6 months from the date of delivery.
What is Covered Genuine manufacturing defects, including LED component failure, circuit board malfunctions, power supply failure, or loose internal soldering under normal operating conditions.
What is NOT Covered Damage caused by dropped units, water exposure (unless rated waterproof), incorrect voltage supply, unauthorized repairs, normal wear and tear, or cosmetic scratches.

How to make a warranty claim:

  1. Contact support@stageming.com with your order details and a clear video/photo demonstrating the technical issue.
  2. If verified as a manufacturing defect, we will provide a solution, which may include sending replacement parts, a brand-new replacement unit, or a full refund.
  3. If we require the defective unit to be shipped back, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label.

8. Return Shipping Costs

We highly recommend using a trackable shipping service with shipping insurance. StageMing is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit during return shipping.


9. Processing Time

  • Inspection: Once your return package arrives at our warehouse, it will be inspected within 3 to 5 business days.
  • Refund Issuance: Once approved, your refund will be processed automatically back to your original method of payment (e.g., credit card, PayPal) within 7 business days.
  • Bank Processing: Depending on your financial institution, it may take an additional 3 to 10 business days for the credit to reflect on your account statement.

10. Cancellations

  • Before Shipment: You may cancel your order within 2 hours of placing it for a full refund. Please contact us immediately.
  • After Shipment: Once an order has been shipped and left our warehouse, it cannot be canceled. You will need to receive the package and follow the standard return process outlined above.

11. Regional Legal Compliance Summary

This policy is structured to fully comply with local consumer regulations across our major markets:

11.1 United States

Our 14-day voluntary return window exceeds federal requirements. Restocking fees up to 15% for remorse returns are fully permitted across US states, provided they are disclosed prior to purchase.

11.2 Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain)

Our policy complies with local Ministry of Commerce guidelines. Change-of-mind returns are not legally mandated for electronic/stage equipment once opened, making our 14-day voluntary policy highly competitive and legally sound.

11.3 European Union & United Kingdom

In accordance with the Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, consumers have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. No restocking fees are applied to unused items within this timeframe. Refunds may only be reduced if the item shows signs of use beyond what is necessary to inspect it.
